1940 Aerial Photography Maps

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go back in time?  You can now see the Cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills as they were in 1940 through aerial photography maps.

The Historic District Commission recently completed the project, which provides detailed maps of local historic structures using aerial photographs taken in 1940.  The new maps were produced with the City of Farmington Hills geographic information system (GIS) using photos scanned by Historic District Commission volunteers.
