Auction Permit
An auction sale is the offering for sale or selling of personal
property to the highest bidder or offering for sale at a high price and
then offering the same at successive lower prices until a buyer is
secured. Auctions can only be conducted by a licensed auctioneer, who
must first submit an
application to the City Clerk’s Office, along with the appropriate
fees and bond, at least ten days prior to the proposed auction (see
Chapter 22, Article 1 of the
City Code).
