ROAD COMMISSION FOR OAKLAND COUNTY (RCOC)

14 Mile Road at the east side of Northwestern Highway
14 Mile Road is now open to traffic at the east side of the intersection with Northwestern Highway. Westbound 14 Mile traffic approaching Northwestern Highway is temporarily being controlled with stop signs. Reconstruction and realignment of the east leg of the intersection is done, however RCOC is waiting for traffic signal poles so that the new signals can be completed and put into operation. The stop signs are expected to remain in place until the poles arrive in January. This is the first phase of the larger 14 Mile/Orchard Lake/Northwestern Highway “triangle” project, which will include construction of a roundabout at 14 Mile and Orchard Lake next year.

For updates on all RCOC projects, go to http://www.rcocweb.org then check press releases and/or the real time traffic map.

MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MDOT)
