  • Middlebelt Road from 8 Mile to 11 Mile – The Road Commission for Oakland County is resurfacing the existing pavement as well as adding minor improvements. The project will be completed in two phases. Phase I, which includes all work between 8 Mile Road and 10 Mile Road, is substantially complete. Phase II, which includes all work between 10 Mile Road and 11 Mile Road, is underway and on schedule to be substantially complete by August 30. Initial work in Phase II includes, but is not limited to, excavation for widening, utility work, signal work and removals. Middlebelt Road will be open to traffic during construction but expect delays.

  • Inkster Road from 9 Mile to 11 Mile – The City of Southfield is reconstructing the existing roadway in two phases. Phase I, which includes all work between 10 Mile Road and 11 Mile Road, is substantially complete. Phase II is underway and will continue well into October. During Phase II Inkster Road will be closed from 9 Mile Road to 10 Mile Road and traffic will be detoured east to Beech Road.

  • Orchard Lake Road from 12 Mile to 13 Mile – The Road Commission for Oakland County is nearing completion of this project. Remaining work includes landscape restoration which will be done with short term lane closures.

  • Grand River Avenue from Ten Mile Road to Haggerty Road – Reconstruction of the existing road is underway. Current work includes new curb, drive approaches, utility work and grade preparation for the new pavement. Travel is reduced to one lane in each direction. Grand River will be open to traffic with the exception of a short term weekend closure of the bridge over I-275 that is currently scheduled for the weekend of September 11th. Closure dates will be posted on site using portable message boards a minimum of seven days in advance of the work. The suggested detour route uses Haggerty and 10 Mile Roads.

  •  Woodbine Subdivision -  the base pavement is complete in Phase I and excavation on Phase II is currently underway. This project is on schedule for completion in late September.

  • Hunters Pointe Subdivision - The base pavement course is complete in Phase I and is currently being installed in Phase II. Paving of the final course of asphalt will start next week and is scheduled to be substantially complete by September 3rd, restoration work will follow.

  • M-5 Ramp from northbound M-5 to westbound I-96 – MDOT currently has this ramp closed for bridge reconstruction until late September.

  • I-96 from Novi Road to east of Beck Road – MDOT is scheduled to have the left lane closed of east bound I-96 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on August 21 to move traffic from the east bound lanes to the west bound lanes.

  • I-96 east bound exit ramp to Novi Road – MDOT is scheduled to have this ramp closed from 9:00 AM on August 24 until 5:00 PM on October 31 for ramp reconstruction.
