CITY MAJOR ROAD PROJECTS

10 Mile Road (Between Farmington Road and Orchard Lake Road)
This project is substantially complete and open to traffic.

Farmington Road (Between 10 Mile Road and 12 Mile Road)
This project is nearing completion and has been re-opened to two-way traffic. Sewer installation work is ongoing at the intersection of Harlan and Farmington. Upon completion of the sewer work, clean-up and restoration work will continue throughout the job limits.

Halsted Road at the M-5 On-Ramp
This project is complete and Halsted Road is open to traffic.

11 Mile Road (From Inkster Road to 2,200 feet east)
Traffic on 11 Mile Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during construction. Access to the adjacent properties will be maintained at all times; however the road will be closed to through traffic for a portion of the project. For further information on this project, contact Leigh Schultz at the City of Southfield at 248-796-4812.

ROAD COMMISSION FOR OAKLAND COUNTY (RCOC)

14 Mile Road at the east side of Northwestern Highway
There will be continuous lane closures on Northwestern Highway near 14 Mile Road for the duration of this project. 14 Mile Road is currently closed on the east side of the intersection with Northwestern Highway. This RCOC project includes reconstruction and realignment of the east leg of the intersection and is the first phase of the larger 14 Mile/Orchard Lake/Northwestern Highway “triangle” project. The detour route for through traffic will be Middlebelt Road to Northwestern Highway and back to 14 Mile and vice versa. This phase of the project is on schedule for completion by November 15.

For updates on all RCOC projects, go to http://www.rcocweb.org then check press releases and/or the real time traffic map.
