Community Development Block Grant Program

Capital Improvements Projects Status as of February 2015

The City of Farmington Hills receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. These funds are utilized to benefit low and moderate income areas as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The following is a list of current CDBG capital improvements.

Independence Park aka. Olde Towne Park (2015)

The project proposes the installation of a new piece of playground equipment at the park. In addition improvements to connect walkways within the park to the new sidewalk on the south side of Independence between Middlebelt and Waldron. Construction is anticipated in the spring and summer of 2015.
