Development Block Grant Program
Capital Improvement Projects – Status as of October 31, 2007
The City of Farmington Hills receives Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U. S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development. CDBG funds are used to benefit low
and/or moderate income households or areas as defined by the U. S.
Census. The following is a list of the current (CDBG) capital
improvements.
Nine Mile Road Sidewalk (FY2006 - $100,000.00)
The project proposed the installation of 1000
lineal feet of sidewalk on the north side of Nine Mile, between Tuck and
Cora. The project was completed in August of 2007.
Tuck Road Sidewalk (FY2006 - $90,000.00)
The project proposed the installation of 1850
lineal feet of sidewalk on the west side of Tuck between Eight Mile and
Folsom. The project was completed in August of 2007.
Independence Sidewalk (FY2006 - $10,000.00)
The project proposed the installation of 140 lineal
feet of sidewalk on the south side of Independence east of Middlebelt.
The project was completed in August of 2007.
Thirteen Mile Road Sidewalk (FY2007 - $177,500.00)
The project proposes the installation of 2600
lineal feet of sidewalk on the north side of Thirteen Mile Road between
Middlebelt and the Detroit Baptist Manor. The project is in the design
stage with construction scheduled for the spring of 2008.
