Fence Permit
Process
 Fence Permits are
issued at the Building Office and cost $10. The fence ordinance is
listed above with the other ordinances. This is one of the items that
is particularly dependent on the definitions and on zoning district. To
save time, discussion of the proposed fence with Planning is advisable
before making application. For clarity, you may wish to fax a plot plan
showing the proposed location and height of the fence to the Planning
Office (248-871-2521) before your discussion. To expedite review by the
City, you may wish to submit your completed application to your
subdivision association for approval before submitting it to the City.
