Temporary Sign
Permit
Temporary accessory signs (signs that pertain to
the property on which they are located) are permitted within all
business districts and within a light industrial district. Temporary
wall signs may be erected for a period of 14 days each, not more
than four times within any 12-month period. They may be no larger than
36 square feet, and may not extend beyond the wall to which they are
attached. Temporary freestanding signs are only permitted as
grand opening signs. These cannot not be greater than 16 square feet; in
area not more than four (4) feet above the ground, and must have a
setback of at least 10 feet from the property line. This option is
available only within six months of the issuance of a certificate of
occupancy.
Temporary sign permits cost $10 and must be
obtained at the Zoning Division.
