Art on the Grand is a juried fine arts fair, presented by the Special
Services Department in cooperation with the Farmington Area Founders
Festival, and held Friday through Sunday during the third week in July.
This “little gem” of a fair welcomes fine artists from across the
country, working in various media, including paintings, sculpture,
fiber, ceramics, glass, photography, and more.
An interactive art fair, Art on the Grand has enjoyed great success
since its inception in 2000. It features lively musical performances,
strolling actors, hands-on children’s activities, free face painting,
and other special features.
Art on the Grand takes place on the corner of Grand River and
Farmington Road, extending into Memorial Park. Space is limited; fine
artists in all media are encouraged to apply.
Dates for the 2008 Art on the Grand are July 18, 19 & 20.
Application deadline is April 1, 2008. For more information, please
call the Cultural Arts Division at (248) 473-1870.
