Along with a free summer concert series, the Cultural Arts Division
brings a variety of high-quality professional performances into our City
during the fall, winter and spring. The Costick Center’s Shannon Hall
provides a warm and intimate setting; concerts are also held at the
charming and acoustically wonderful Farmington Players Barn Theatre,
located at 32332 Twelve Mile Road. Interactive comedy has been
occasionally added to the schedule, including "Late Nite Catechism" and
"Tony & Tina’s Wedding."
Get your tickets early! Many of these concerts are sold out by
curtain time!

“Moolight, Mystery & Martinis”

An Interactive Comedy Mystery Theater at historic Longacre House!
An entertaining evening, filled with mystery and intrigue…guests
will compare clues as they solve a fun-filled “whodunit?” including
costumed characters, hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Presented by the
group that brought us “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding”. Tickets: $40. A
great night out—don’t miss this brand new event at Longacre.

Western Michigan Jazz Quartet

Costick Center
This talented jazz quartet in residence at Western Michigan
University presents a blend of jazz from Duke Ellington and Dave
Brubeck to contemporary originals and the sounds of Brazil and the
Caribbean. With Tad Weed at the keyboards, Tin Froncek on drums, Tom
Knific on upright bass and Trent Kynaston on saxophone, you’ll enjoy
this swinging group of music educators! Tickets: $18 (adults); $15

The fabulous “Holiday Brass” concert has become an anticipated
event in our community, known for bringing in the holidays with
warmth and style! Detroit Chamber Winds musicians are members of the
Detroit Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestras. Come hear
some of the area’s finest classical and traditional holiday music in
the intimate atmosphere and fine acoustics of the Players Barn

time with the area’s favorite Irish band in three performances at
the Farmington Players Barn Theatre on March 13, 14 & 15, beginning
at 7:30 PM. Blackthorn entertains with a wide variety of touching
and hilarious songs, coupled with an array of musical instruments.

Farmington Hills Youth Theatre
“Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat”
November 15-18, 2007 – Costick Center
The enduringly colorful, popular story of Joseph of Canaan
that has charmed audiences world-wide will be performed by both
children and adults alike by two separate casts on the Costick
stage. “Joseph” is a family show that is full of excitement,
energy and wonderful eclectic music.
Thursday, November 15, 7:00 PM; Friday, November 16, 7:00PM;
Saturday, November 17, 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM; Sunday, November 18,
1:00PM & 5:00 PM. Tickets: $10 at the door (discounted senior
tickets; children 3 and under admitted free of charge). The
Farmington Hills Youth Theater operates in cooperation with
Sky’s the Limit Productions to produce workshops, theater camps
and performances.

Farmington Community Chorus
Auditions
The Farmington Community Chorus offers an exciting
opportunity for area residents to sing and perform a wide range
of choral music with a seasoned director. Rehearsals are on
Tuesdays at 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM at the Costick Activities Center.
Directed by Steve SeGraves and accompanied by assistant director
Susan Garr, the Chorus is entering its 28th year. Auditions for
the holiday concert series will be held on Tuesday, September 4
and 11, beginning at 7:30 PM at the Costick Center. For more

FCC Holiday Concert
December 14 & 15, 2007, 8:00 PM
Enjoy this entertaining holiday concert by the Farmington Chorus
at Mercy High School’s Auditorium, Eleven Mile at Middlebelt in
Farmington Hills. Tickets can be purchased in advance starting
in early November from an FCC member, or ordered by calling
810-632-4067. Tickets will also be available at the Costick
Center and at the door; arrive early since this is a very
popular event! Advance tickets: $12. At event: $15.
