The City of Farmington Hills 2019 Winter Tax Bills will be mailed on or about November 29, 2019. They are payable from December 1, 2019 through February 14, 2020 without penalty. Payment must be received by February 14, 2020 to avoid penalties. Payments by mail will be recorded on the date received by the City, not by the date postmarked. A 4% penalty will be added starting February 15, 2020 through March 2, 2020. Beginning March 3, 2020, all unpaid 2019 summer and winter property taxes are considered delinquent and must be paid to the Oakland County Treasurer’s office. If you do not receive your tax bill by December 14, 2019, please contact the Treasurer's office at 248-871-2480.
By law, failure to receive a tax bill does not waive tax or penalty. Tax bills are not forwarded by the Post Office unless it is a temporary forwarding order only. The Treasurer's Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to accept payments, except for December 24th, 25th & 31st, January 1st & 20th; and February 17th.
Drop boxes are located by the Police Station, next to the mail boxes and near the front entrance to City Hall.

Checks are accepted as conditional payment. If checks are not honored by the bank, taxes are unpaid and subject to any and all penalties.
