Cultural Arts Programmer: Concerts and Events (Part-Time)
Research, cultivate and oversee concerts and events at “The Hawk” Farmington Hills Community Center’s 768-seat Theatre and adjacent Blackbox, the summer concert series at Heritage Park, and other concerts and events at other facilities as developed or assigned. Research performers, speakers and musical groups with an eye toward creating unique, interesting, and well attended events. Write engaging and creative event copy to be used on the website, in ads and promotional materials.
Manage all event logistics, including ticket software management, oversee set-up and break-down, assist with technical setup. Assist with marketing strategies and efforts for each event. Process and track event sales, and report on event success. Assist with managing volunteers and other part time staff members with assignments and scheduling. Participate in strategic planning sessions; develop and maintain specific programs as
directed by Supervisor. Assist with preparing press releases, data entry, financial budgeting, mailings, and publicity. Some physical activity required and some evening and weekend hours.
