Nature Camp Instructor (Camp Counselor)

Compensation

$13.00 - $15.00 per hour (Depending on Qualifications)

Job Description

Under the direction of the Farmington Hills Nature Center Supervisor, the Nature Center Coordinator, the Nature Camp Instructor will create and lead unique nature-themed day camp programs for children ages 3-12 years, supervise and provide a safe environment for children, develop lesson plans, and interact with children through camp activities.  Camp Instructors will oversee Camp Leaders and Aides.  Outdoor and active work in various types of weather is required.

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, kneel, walk, talk, see, hear, and use hands or fingers to reach up and handle objects.  The employee lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds and should be able to work in the outdoors for extended periods regardless of the weather.
