The City of Farmington Hills Department of Public Services continues work on the Farmington Road Rehabilitation Project between Twelve Mile Road and Thirteen Mile Road, with the project reaching 85 percent completion as of early September. The project is expected to be completed by the end of September.
“It’s important that drivers remain alert as they are navigating in construction areas, not only for their safety, but for the safety of construction crews,” said City of Farmington Hills Director of Public Services Karen Mondora. “Additionally, drivers should be aware of potential traffic pattern shifts as we work toward completion of the project.”
As of early September, drivers will notice:
- Southbound Farmington Road is open to local traffic only from Thirteen Mile Road to New Market Road.
- Farmington Road is closed to northbound to all traffic between Twelve Mile Road and Thirteen Mile Road.
- A full closure of Farmington Road is in effect between Twelve Mile Road and New Market Road.
- A detour route has been posted.
