City of Farmington Hills – Update on Water Main Break and Flooding Impacts

 

• Closures remain along 14 Mile Road between Drake and Farmington.

 

• Drivers should expect delays and avoid the area when possible.

 

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (March 23, 2026) — The City of Farmington Hills is issuing a follow‑up to the water main break repairs along 14 Mile Road. Repairs continue following the major break in a 48‑inch GLWA transmission main on 14 Mile Road at Verona, between Drake Road and Farmington Road. Water service continues to be unaffected by these repairs.

 

GLWA crews remain on‑site working to restore water service to all impacted communities and replacing damaged road pavement and sidewalk. 14 Mile Road remains closed to thru traffic between Drake and Farmington Road. Drivers should follow the posted detours. The River Trail in Heritage Park has reopened.
