November 3, 2026 – State General Election

2026 Application for Absent Voter Ballot

Important Dates to Remember for the November Election:

Thursday, September 24^th – Absent Voter ballots will be available in-person at the City Clerk’s Office. First mailing of Absent Voter ballots to voters who have already submitted an application or are on the Permanent Ballot List.

Monday, October 19^th - Last day to register to vote in any matter other than in-person at your local Clerk’s Office.

Tuesday, October 20^th through Tuesday, November 3^rd until 8:00pm - A person may register to vote in-person at their local Clerk’s Office with proof of residency.

Saturday, October 24^th through Sunday, November 1^st - Early In-Person Voting available at the Costick Activities Center, 28600 Eleven Mile Rd, from 8:30am-4:30pm, except Thursday, October 29th when hours are Noon-8:00pm.

Friday, October 30^th 5:00pm - Deadline for voters to request an absent voter ballot to be mailed via first class mail.

Monday, November 2^nd 4:00pm - Deadline for registered voters to request an absent voter ballot in-person at the City Clerk’s Office.

Tuesday, November 3^rd until 8:00pm - A person registering to vote in-person at the City Clerk’s Office may obtain and vote an absent voter ballot with proof of residency or vote in-person at their assigned polling location.  

Tuesday, November 3^rd  - Election Day - Polls are open 7:00am through 8:00pm. All voters in line at 8pm will be able to vote.

AV Ballots must be returned to the Clerk's Office by 8pm on Election Day
