The City of Farmington Hills Department of Communications and Community Engagement is the source of information for the City. The Department plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's narrative, managing its reputation, and ensuring clear and consistent communication both internally and externally. Team members take pride in creating and disseminating content that amplifies the people, places, services and opportunities in Farmington Hills. Through public relations, marketing efforts, video content and digital channels, we serve to ensure that community members are informed, feel connected and are heard.

The Public Relations Division fosters transparent and effective communication between the City and community members. Through strategic messaging and relationship-building with media outlets, stakeholders, and the community at large, the public relations team ensures information is disseminated promptly, manages crisis situations, and promotes the City's initiatives and achievements.

The Marketing Division is integral in spotlighting the robust variety of experiences and opportunities available within the Farmington Hills community. Through a blend of digital outreach and print campaigns, the division promotes the vibrant offerings of the City to residents, local businesses and visitors. The Marketing Division also spearheads the creation of the City’s award-winning Activities Guide as a resource for community members.

The Video Services Division produces high-quality video content that brings the narratives of Farmington Hills to life. Through digital storytelling, Video Services informs, entertains, and engages the community through informative video segments and event coverage, capturing the essence and spirit of the City. The work of the Video Services division is shared on YouTube and other social media, in addition to the City’s cable channel, Spectrum Channel 203 and AT&T Channel 99.
