Tax Payment Options

Please check the parcel ID number before paying: As the taxpayer, you are responsible for paying on the correct property.​

EFT/ACH - ECHECKS - Same-Day Payment - No Fees or Mail Delay - Highly Recommended

  • Echecks uses your bank account information and is processed immediately.
  • $30 NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) applies to any echecks that are returned for any reason.
  • What you need: Checking account and routing number.

CREDIT/DEBIT - Processed the same day, A processing fee of 2.8% plus flat fee of $0.50 will be added to all credit/debit card payments

Drop Box (City HQ) - Checks only

  • Drop BoxInclude your top portion of bill/coupon and write your parcel and phone number on check.
  • A secure drive-up drop box is located in front of Police Headquarters by the US Post Office boxes.

Mail to City's lockbox (Detroit, MI) - Payment is processed when received, NOT postmarked

MUST Include your top portion of bill/coupon and write your parcel and phone number on check. Use the envelope provided with your tax bill and mail PRIOR to the DUE DATE. DO NOT MAIL AFTER THE DUE DATE. Do not send any other correspondence with the payment other than the coupon and check. Your receipt is your cancelled check. The City is not responsible for mail delays.
