Nick Davis, one of our technicians here at The Hawk Makerspace, is determined to go beyond the Mother's Day standards this year and wow his mom with a unique gift. He wants to help you do the same, so he came up with a Laser Puzzle Bridging Project to share his secrets.
Bridging Project Backstory
Bridging Projects are The Hawk Makerspace's way to bridge the gap between learning how to use a machine and figuring out what to do with the machine once you've gone through the
Checkout Course. This Laser Puzzle Project is one of the best ways to get familiar with using the laser, and it makes for a wonderful heartfelt gift.
Nick’s Point of View
"I always get my mom flowers and a little dessert for Mother's Day, but this year, I wanted to change things up. I'm always around these tools, so it was a no-brainer for me to use them to make something special. My problem is that I always have too many ideas, but using the laser made it easier to layer all of the things I wanted to include in the gift."
"As much as I love the laser, I am also trying to branch into textiles, so I wanted to play with another option for packaging the gift. The embroidery machine is my favorite, so I figured a no- sew pouch would be the best way to tie that in. The more ideas I put out there, the more
people will be able to bounce their own ideas off of mine and make something true to themselves- that's one of the best parts of being a Hawk Makerspace technician."
