Checkout Courses are required prior to independent use of equipment.

 

If you know you will need uninterrupted access to a specific piece of equipment, it is highly encouraged that you reserve a time slot in advance, otherwise we cannot guarantee it will not be in use by someone else.  Please email us at makerspace@fhgov.com or call 248-699-6489 to reserve your timeslot based on availability.

 

Tech 1:1 Consulting is your option for independent support, technical guidance, and creative troubleshooting with one of The Hawk Makerspaces technicians. You’ve been through the Checkout Course, you have ideas, but you’re stuck and need more individualized attention beyond a 15-minute brainstorming session with one of our staff. This is where we are here to support you in reaching that next step to achieve your goals.

 

Let us know exactly what it is you need assistance with, and we will do our best to match you with the most experienced technician in that area at a time that works for your schedule and theirs. Our expert technicians will share experience, provide personal and specific guidance, and help to troubleshoot or brainstorm plans and ideas. Please know that our team will not do the work FOR you, but they will be the support you need to do it yourself.

 

Please keep in mind that you must have completed the necessary checkout courses in which you wish to work during a Tech 1:1 Consulting session.

 

Tech 1:1 Consulting sessions are available for $50 – Passholder Rate / $60 – Non-Passholder Rate hour with a 1 hour minimum and a maximum of 2 hours per session/day. Please be patient as we learn more about your needs to determine the best Tech match and coordinate schedules.
