CITIZENS POLICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (CPAC)
OVERVIEW
The Citizens Police Advisory Committee is comprised of residents, community leaders, and businesspersons, all selected to represent a specific sector of the community: schools, faith-based community, neighborhood associations, businesses, mental health, community organizations, health care, residential, and first responders/legal representation. This selected group of individuals meets every other month and identifies community needs and concerns.
The committee is an important resource for the police department to hear about community concerns, viewpoints, and problems. Members also provide ideas or suggestions regarding new or existing police programs and procedures. In this way, CPAC plays a vital role in the police department’s ability to provide community policing services.
While not an open meeting, the public is encouraged to voice any concerns or questions to the committee by clicking the “Ask a Question” below. Your question will be reviewed and discussed by the CPAC committee at the next CPAC meeting.
As always, if you need police assistance dial 9-1-1 or call the non-emergency line at 248-871-2610.
