The City of Farmington Hills, in partnership for the first time with WJZZ Detroit Jazz Radio and WJZZ Productions, is excited to announce updated details for this year’s collaborative jazz celebration. Originally planned as an outdoor concert at Heritage Park, the event has been moved indoors to The Hawk’s state-of-the-art theater to provide guests with an elevated, acoustically rich live music experience. The jazz celebration will take place Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at The Hawk, located at 29995 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills.

 

Set within The Hawk’s intimate, acoustically advanced performance space, the concert will showcase the vibrant legacy and modern sound of Detroit jazz through an exceptional lineup of regional talent:

 

Featured Artists
• Allen Dennard – trumpet virtuoso and composer known for his bold, soul-stirring sound
• Nate Topo – bringing sharp musicality and signature jazz flair
• The James Russell Project – offering groove-driven rhythms and dynamic performance energy
