Posted:  10/19/2026

The City of Farmington Hills is inviting business leaders, developers, property owners, and all city visitors to its upcoming Bagels & Business: Future of Farmington Hills event on Wednesday, October 29, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Black Box Theater inside The Hawk—Farmington Hills Community Center. This free morning program will provide direct insight into the City’s evolving economic landscape, major upcoming developments, and new tools designed to streamline the business experience in Farmington Hills.

“Bagels & Business brings our business community together to learn, connect, and explore what’s next for Farmington Hills,” said Cristia Brockway, Economic Development Director. “This year’s focus on the future gives attendees a close‑up look at upcoming improvements, new planning efficiencies, and projects that will shape the City for years to come.”

The event begins with breakfast and networking, followed by fast‑paced breakout sessions featuring the City’s new Site Plan Review process, designed to save applicants time and help projects move through approvals more efficiently. Attendees will also take part in a visioning activity for the 12 Mile and Farmington Road corridor, offering businesses and community members the chance to help shape future redevelopment of this key commercial area.

Additional program highlights include updates and advancements at the Orchard Ridge Oakland Community College (OCC) Campus and a briefing on the potential Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club partnership on OCC’s Farmington Hills campus. Representatives from OCC, Plante Moran, and Rieth Jones Advisors will share insights on how these developments may contribute to future economic growth and investment opportunities.
