Farmington Hills Clerk’s Office to Mail Absentee Voter Ballots for Nov. 3 Election

Mailing of state general election ballots begins Monday, Sept. 28

 

The Clerk’s Office will begin mailing Absent Voter (AV) ballots for the Nov. 3 State General Election beginning Monday, Sept. 28 to voters who have already requested a ballot and voters currently on the City’s permanent ballot list.

 

Those who have already requested an AV ballot or are on the permanent ballot list may pick up their own ballot from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 and Friday, Sept. 25 at the Farmington Hills City Clerk’s Office, before the Clerk’s bulk mailing. Voters must bring photo identification. Those without a photo ID may complete an Affidavit of Person Not in Possession of Photo ID to receive their ballot. If voters prefer to receive an AV ballot by mail, no action is needed.

 

Request an AV Ballot

Voters who have not yet requested an AV ballot may submit an application:

  • By mail
  • At a City ballot drop box
  • By email to FHClerk@fhgov.com
  • In person at the City Clerk’s Office

 

Return an AV Ballot

Once completed, voters can return their ballot in any of the following ways:

  • By mail using the purple return envelope. Postage is prepaid.
  • At one of the City’s five ballot drop boxes:
    • Farmington Hills Police Department – 31655 W. Eleven Mile Road
    • Costick Activities Center – 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road
    • Division of Public Works – 27245 Halsted Road
    • Fire Station #1 – 35725 Nine Mile Road
    • Fire Station #3 – 29260 Grand River Ave.
  • In person at the City Clerk’s Office inside Farmington Hills City Hall, 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road.

 

 

 

Track an AV Ballot

Voters can track their absent voter ballot through the Michigan Secretary of State’s voter information website. The online system shows when a ballot was mailed and when the completed ballot was received by the City Clerk’s Office.
