Call for Volunteers: Farmington Hills Beautification Commission to Host 13th Annual Spring Clean Up, The Carol Posby Litter Walk, on April 25
For the 13th year, the Farmington Hills Beautification Commission is seeking volunteers to take part in The Carol Posby Litter Walk on Saturday, April 25. This community-wide initiative aims to beautify the City by cleaning up litter accumulated during the winter months along main roadways.
Community members are encouraged to gather friends, colleagues, or organization members and join the City in this impactful Earth Month initiative. Participants can choose a stretch of main road near their neighborhood or business, and pick a time between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. that works best for their team.
"The Carol Posby Litter Walk is not just about cleaning up the City, it's about fostering a sense of community pride and responsibility," said Tracey Emmanuel, City of Farmington Hills community development coordinator and staff liaison to the Beautification Commission. "Together, we can keep the City clean, green and beautiful."
Community members are asked to spread the word about The Carol Posby Litter Walk and encourage friends, family, and colleagues to participate to help cultivate a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful City. This event is made possible by the City of Farmington Hills and the Farmington Hills Beautification Commission, in association with community partners.
Participants will need to provide their preferred cleanup area, number of participants and other essential details to receive a supply drop-off in the days ahead of the event, including gloves and trash bags. Interested volunteers are asked to contact Commissioner Kathie Brown at carolposbylitterwalk@gmail.com or Tracey Emmanuel at temmanuel@fhgov.com or 248-871-2545. Registration is requested by Wednesday, April 1.
