City of Farmington Hills Responds to Water Main Break

at 14 Mile & Verona

No boil‑water advisory has been issued for the City

 

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (March 7, 2026) The City of Farmington Hills is actively

monitoring a significant break on a 48‑inch Great Lakes Water Authority transmission

main which has caused flooding at 14 Mile Road and Verona, between Drake and Farmington Roads. The City is working in coordination with GLWA and the Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office (WRC).

 

GLWA and WRC are working to isolate the break, assess the damage, and control water

flow. Residents and motorists are urged to avoid the area so emergency and utility

crews can work safely.
