Culture, Comedy, Classical Music and More: The Hawk Theatre Announces 2025/2026 Season
The Hawk Theatre in the City of Farmington Hills is proud to announce its 2025/2026 season, which will run from Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, through Friday, June 19, 2026. Located within the City’s award-winning recreation and arts venue, The Hawk, the Theatre’s fourth season will include performances by the classical music masterminds behind some of the region’s most influential institutions, cultural celebrations, special events and more. Through these programs, The Hawk Theatre will work toward its goal of exposing diverse metro Detroit audiences to high caliber performing arts experiences. “We’re excited to build on the foundation of artistic excellence that patrons of The Hawk Theatre have come to expect during our first three seasons,” said Rachel Timlin, cultural arts supervisor for the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department, which administers The Hawk Theatre programming. “Through continuing partnerships with some of the region’s most respected cultural institutions, like the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Detroit Opera, The Hawk Theatre will connect thousands of community members of all ages and interests with the arts through an exciting season featuring concerts, comedy, immersive cultural celebrations and more.”
The Hawk Theatre brings world-class talent to its Mainstage as part of a robust 13-concert classical series, featuring some of Michigan’s most lauded classical musicians. The Michigan Philharmonic will play two shows this season, including a concert featuring the timeless classics of Barbra Streisand. The Chamber Soloists of Detroit will also return to The Hawk Theatre for a four-concert series throughout the season, including a performance by the GRAMMY Award-winning Ehnes Quartet. The series will also feature the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the University of Michigan, the Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony and the Farmington Concert Band.
In its Black Box, The Hawk Theatre will feature two intimate three-concert series, featuring regional jazz and acoustic artists. The acoustic series, Black Box Unplugged, will feature Jim Bizer, Mike Green, and Warren and Flick. The jazz series, Hawk’s Jazz Joint, will feature performances by the Paul Keller Trio, Tres Suite and Alice Tillman. The Hawk Theatre will also host special events in its Black Box during the 2025/2026 season, including a Gordon Lightfoot tribute concert, a true crime author panel, stand-up comedy and drag queen bingo.
As part of a commitment to highlighting diverse artists and recognizing important cultural touchstones in the City of Farmington Hills, The Hawk Theatre will host a six-event series of concerts and events. These immersive, educational events will recognize Native American Heritage Month, Holocaust Remembrance Day, Lunar New Year, Black History Month, Pride Month and Juneteenth.
The Hawk Theatre’s 2025/2026 season will also feature free concerts for the community, including a Detroit Symphony Orchestra performance in September and two performances featuring the University of Michigan Department of Chamber Music in November and March. The City of Farmington Hills has the largest dedicated municipal Cultural Arts Division in the State of Michigan. The Division coordinates arts programming for the community, including classes, events, and activities in visual and performing arts, and year-round performances at The Hawk Theatre, to expose diverse populations to the arts.
