Mayor Pro Tem Jackie Boleware Appointed to Lead National League of Cities’ First Tier Suburbs Council
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Dec. 15, 2025) — Jackie Boleware, Mayor Pro Tem of Farmington Hills, has been appointed Vice Chair of the National League of Cities (NLC) 2026 First Tier Suburbs Council. Mayor Pro Tem Boleware was elected to a one-year term to develop and guide programs among local elected officials from similar communities. The appointment was announced by NLC President Kevin Kramer, Councilmember of Louisville, Kentucky.
Mayor Pro Tem Boleware says Farmington Hills will benefit from having access to the collective knowledge and experiences of other first tier suburbs, and at the same time, be at the table to drive programs that identify and leverage Farmington Hills’ economic strengths and opportunities.
As a Vice Chair of NLC’s First Tier Suburbs Council Mayor Pro Tem Boleware will play a key role among a diverse group of local leaders to encourage collaboration, networking and the development of resources and programs beneficial to communities that share demographics, size or location that can be replicated across the country.

This year’s council will be led by Chair David Sander, Council Member, Rancho Cordova, CA; Vice Chair, Jackie Boleware, Mayor Pro Tem, Farmington Hills, MI; and Vice Chair, Vice Mayor, Wally Campbell, Goodyear, AZ.
