Farmington Hills Citywide Open House Returns Oct. 3 with Special Guests and Family Fun
The City of Farmington Hills invites residents to go “behind the scenes” at the Annual Citywide Open House on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 12 to 3 p.m. The free, family‑friendly event takes place rain or shine on the Farmington Hills City Hall campus at 31555 West Eleven Mile Road.
This year’s event features exciting special guests, including Roary from the Detroit Lions and Shannon from 95.5, who will be onsite with the station’s branded truck offering free ice cream while supplies last. Attendees can also enjoy free hot dogs and other treats, and a variety of hands‑on activities with departments across the City.
“The Citywide Open House is one of our favorite annual traditions, bringing together residents of all ages to explore, learn, and have fun,” said Acting City Manager Karen Mondora. “We’re thrilled to welcome the community and showcase the award‑winning people, programs, and services that make Farmington Hills such a vibrant, safe, and truly exceptional place for every path.”
Visitors can climb DPW equipment, watch fire demonstrations, tour Police headquarters, meet K‑9 officers, participate in crafts and activities from Special Services, and star in a video with the Communications and Community Engagement team. Free parking and shuttle service will be available at Oakland Community College’s Orchard Ridge Campus, located at 27055 Orchard Lake Road.
