The City of Farmington Hills Beautification Commission Opens 2026 Award Nominations
Nominations accepted June 1 through 22
The City of Farmington Hills Beautification Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Beautification Awards, recognizing properties that make an outstanding effort to create and maintain welcoming, attractive and sustainable landscape entrances that help enhance the beauty of the community. Self-nominations are encouraged.
Awards are presented annually to businesses, offices, condominiums, apartment communities, organizations, places of worship, shopping centers and subdivisions that help make Farmington Hills more welcoming and attractive. The commission will also recognize low-impact landscaping and special projects including bio-habitat and pollinator gardens.
Nominated properties will be judged in July based on landscape design and planning, color and originality, overall maintenance, environmental sensitivity and efforts completed by nonprofessionals. Award recipients will be recognized at a celebration in October. The nomination deadline is June 22, 2026.
To nominate a property, complete the nomination form on the City’s website at www.fhgov.com/beautificationawards. Completed forms should be emailed to temmanuel@fhgov.com by the deadline.
