Community event to feature Maker’s Market, Hawk tours, and Fan Jam basketball experience.

 

 

Farmington Hills residents and visitors are invited to experience everything The Hawk has to offer during The Hawk Experience: Play. Shop. Explore. on Saturday, Oct. 17. This free community event will showcase local makers, hands-on activities, and games and giveaways for unique experiences throughout the building and grounds.

 

The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Hawk, located at 29995 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, and will feature:

 

The Maker’s Market — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Guests can shop a wide variety of handmade goods, artwork, crafts and specialty items created by local artisans, makers and small businesses. The Maker’s Market offers a chance to support local entrepreneurs and discover one-of-a-kind finds.

 

Hawk Tours — Noon to 4 p.m.
Visitors can explore The Hawk through guided tours highlighting its creative studios, performance spaces, classrooms and recreation amenities. Hawk Passholder specials will be available, and staff will be on-site to answer questions and share information about upcoming programs.

 

Fan Jam Basketball Experience — Noon to 4 p.m. (Hawk Field)
Families and basketball fans can head outside to Hawk Field for Fan Jam, a fun and interactive basketball experience featuring skills stations and on-court challenges for all ages.

 

“The Hawk Experience brings together everything that makes The Hawk such a special community destination,” said Special Services Director Ted Davis. “We’re excited to welcome residents to shop local, play, explore and enjoy a great day in Farmington Hills.”

 

The Hawk Experience: Play. Shop. Explore. sponsored by Busch’s Market. All activities are free and open to the public. Free parking is available on-site.
