New system prioritizes resident access while continuing to support non-resident participants

The City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department will debut a new registration process this fall for all programming featured in the Activities Guide. The updated process is designed to make enrollment easier and more welcoming for both residents and non-residents. Details about the new process will also be highlighted in the upcoming edition of guide, with key registration dates coming up in mid-November.

Beginning Saturday, Nov. 16 at 6 a.m., residents will be able to register for Activities Guide offerings using the updated process. Registration for non-residents will follow shortly after, opening on Monday, Nov. 18 at 6 a.m. Residents are encouraged to

explore upcoming offerings and mark key registration dates on their calendars.

This new process reflects the City’s continued commitment to providing accessible, user-friendly options that support community engagement, recreation, and lifelong learning for people of all ages and abilities.

“We serve a wide and diverse community, and we want everyone, residents and

non-residents alike, to have a smooth experience accessing the programs they enjoy,” said Special Services Director Ted Davis. “This new process supports our residents and reflects our commitment to expanding opportunities and fostering meaningful engagement for all.”
